Facebook Fanpage Setup

Facebook Fanpage:

If your church doesn’t have a Fanpage on Facebook, we can help you get one set up, and give you some tips and best practices for using this as an evangelism tool. However, by its nature, Facebook posts will be most effectively run by people familiar with the ministry that it is promoting.

Facebook is a wonderful opportunity for people in the church to passively witness to their friends. There are two main ways that they can do this: checking in on Sunday mornings, which lets folks know that they’re Christians, and interacting with your Fanpage, which gives their friends a chance to see the posts that you make there. It almost goes without saying that part of any successful Facebook campaign is to encourage your members to take part by liking the Fanpage and interacting with the content you post there. Getting your leadership and membership on board with a social media campaign is key, but this is up to your church. Additionally, there are social sharing buttons for events and sermons to make it easy for members to participate in a social media outreach campaign.

The main thing to remember about Facebook Fanpagesis that every post should have an action that your fans can take: click a link, like a post, watch a video. The more that current fans interact with your post, the higher the chance that those posts will be visible to their friends. So don’t be afraid to call your fans to action: “Watch the video below!” “Like this post if you plan to come!” “Check out this sermon!”.

Posts should be interesting but not over long, and media is a plus. Good examples might be mission project reports, upcoming or just past events, or messages from the Pastor. Funny pictures can get you fans, but they shouldn’t be the only thing on your Fanpage since again, the goal is to help people become comfortable enough to come as guests.
